This delightful cottage, tucked away in the quiet village of Keld, has been imaginatively converted to combine original and modern features and provides partly upside down accommodation in which to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Keld is situated at the head of the Swaledale valley and acts as a cross road for the Pennine Way, Coast to Coast and other walks alongside rivers and waterfalls and to local villages and Dales. Keld has a tea room, plus a small hotel, with bar and restaurant open to non residents.

The stone flagged ground floor consists of a kitchen / dining area, with wood burning stove, a pine dining table and rush seated, ladder backed chairs to seat 6 people, settee, long oak settle, a small TV and a drinks cooler. There is also a snug breakfast area which is ideal for young families. The hand made pine fitted kitchen has a Belfast sink, electric oven/grill and hob and fridge/freezer. A twin bedroom has pine beds, matching furniture and an en-suite shower room.

A split level pine staircase leads upstairs:-

All flooring is maple boarded with Turkish scatter rugs. The double bedroom has an iron and brass bed, antique pine furniture and views. A fully tiled bathroom has a white bathroom suite with brass fittings, free standing, roll top bath with mixer shower tap, a high flush toilet, wash basin and shaver point. The triple aspect lounge has lovely views, a feature, stone fireplace, leather settee, armchair, a flat screen TV with surround sound and excellent audio system.

To the outside there is a sheltered sitting area with picnic bench, raised flower bed and private parking for 2 cars. The river and beautiful waterfalls, with a delightful picnic area, are just a short stroll away from the cottage. A small tearoom nearby (open from March to the end of October) has indoor and outdoor seating, serves snacks all day, sells basic provisions, sweets and ice creams and is an off license.

Keld is easily accessible from the M6 or the A1, with a nice scenic 45 minutes drive through the Yorkshire Dales. There is a local store and pub at Muker, 4 miles away. A variety of shops and pubs are at Hawes, 8 miles away, and Kirby Stephen, 12 miles away.
